Artist's Description

This unusual image of dancing star sun reflections is raw and is not digitally enhanced or edited in any way (e.g. not Photoshop’ed!). Because I pointed so close to the sun, the bottom right hand corner is totally red from distortion, so I did crop this image to remove the red bottom right corner.

Mahkeenac is a very special place … for swimmers, yogis, canoeists, sailors, fisherman, poets, artists, walkers, lovers and lovers of untarnished nature, nestled in Berkshire County under Lenox Mountain, sounds of Tanglewood sometimes in the background. I love the three dimensional yoga experience that swimming here inspires.

I was up to my calves in water on my way for a late afternoon swim when I noticed all the dancing lights, the low sun over the choppy water. What to do? If I went for my swim and the wind dropped, these sparkling reflections would disappear … I went back to get my 6.1megapixel Olympus C60, took some photos, then went for that lovely swim … “Next time” I’ll shoot some video too … July 4, 2005
