our pond was dug in a peat bog, hence the water is naturally black. I love these water lilies. At the beginning of the season they are small, white and delicate. As time goes on the flowers get bigger and bigger, and darker and darker pink until they turn into huge, brash, waxy blooms that hang on in there until the ice closes over them. Does anybody out there know a name for them?
