Artist's Description

“A teardrop on the face of eternity.” That’s how Indian poet, Rabindranath Tagore (1861-1941), described the Taj Mahal.

Taken at dawn on a beautiful still and misty morning, the Taj slowly revealed itself like an unfolding dream. Canon EOS 5D Mark III

“The Taj Mahal is more poetic than poetry, standing between Heaven and Earth, dream and reality. The Taj Mahal is a breathtaking location imbued with a romantic history. Mogul emperor, Shah Jahan, began construction of this marble crypt and memorial in 1631 after the death of his beloved second wife, Persian princess, Mumtaz Mahal.”.
