Parts of the Broadleaf Arrowhead (Sagittaria latifolia) can be consumed by humans. Interestingly, the plant has white male flowers and female flowers that are green orbs. Wikipedia quote – Male flowers are easily distinguished from female due to the dissimilarity The plant’s leaves are the shape of an arrowhead which is the inspiration for the common name.
