The story behind the photo:
While on a 10 day river trip in the Beni (Amazon Basin region of Bolivia) I heard a frog call I had not heard before. Braving swarms of mosquitoes and crawling through mud up to my waist, I finally found the source of the call, this beautiful Greater Hatchet Faced Treefrog (Sphaenorhynchus lacteus).
