My person, in conjunction with my camera, takes photographs. Of things, of places, of people; Noun photos if you will, but not photos of nouns.
I snap them while in my home town of Melbourne, Australia, and at other times like now, I snap them in faraway places like Europe, Colombia, Argentina, Peru, Canada, the US and so forth.
Many years ago, I discovered a flat spot in my family’s photographic history which included some of my early childhood. The parental unit regretfully informed me that film became prohibitively expensive, so for a couple of years photographs were a luxury to be foregone.
My attraction to photos and photography increased when I saw the power that those lost years had, and in part, fostered my fancy for photography. In short, I dont want to miss a thing.
I studied photography at the Photographic Imaging College and now I practice it wherever I am, and it propels me to see new things, to go to the new places and to look at the world and its bits and pieces through many different eyes.
