Artist's Description

The storm brewed between clouds and sea outside the stern and sometimes grim gray walls of the waiting room. The door opened occasionally and let in cold air that gushed across the floors and wound about the legs of chairs and across a table where magazines fluttered. One woman with straight black hair and dark glasses dramatically shivered and frowned every time the door opened as if that would change things. In one corner a youth read a book and kept glancing out of the window. Behind him a red wall captured the energy from occupants and threw it back into the air with electric waves of tension and silence. He didn’t look crazy. But then, I guess, neither do I. Maybe he was waiting for someone. But then maybe I am too.
Red Wall is 18″×24″ acrylic on canvas
