Post: Selected the two orange tarps and desaturated everything else. I increased the contrast of the B&W portion about 15% and ran a levels on it at the same time. Also, I burned the Buddha in the immediate foreground so it didn’t disappear into the wall too much.

When I first saw this set-up in person I thought it would be a beautiful image with the bright orange sheet over the one Buddha. Unfortunately when I showed the picture to people no one seemed to “get it.” So I thought I would desaturate the rest of it to make the orange stand out even more and now I think I like it a little less, but most people like it a lot more. Fair tradeoff I guess.
