Jeff Pitcher started taking pictures in earnest after being given a manual film camera and a how-to photography book for his 28th birthday. Initially he focussed on his family, honing his craft taking shots of his five children, using analogue methods and developing and printing his own pictures.

After winning numerous prizes, and having been the subject of features in national magazines, he turned his lens on his hometown of Crawley, shooting the streets, the buildings and the people with an affectionate, knowing, irreverent eye.

He is now also known for his work shooting live music shows, particularly the garage punk scene, where he has garnered a reputation for in-the-thick-of-it documentation, and his reportage photography of radical demonstrations and occupations – his immersion in political movements gives him unique access and the trust of his fellow protestors.

Jeff’s work is available to license, and he accepts commissions.
