Abstract watercolor painting featuring a central circular object with overlapping shapes and other forms coming into contact with it. It’s abstract art, so the rest is just my interpretation, but it reminds me of cellular, microscopic imagery. There are branching forms in the center that could be cracks, veins or something similar, biologically. My wife commented that it reminded her of a solar flare, which was the inspiration for the title. This painting features a lot of circles in various cool colors with the pink and yellow giving it a few warmer accents here and there.
It was painted using Dr. PH. Martin’s Concentrated Water Colors on Arches Hot Press 120lb water color paper.
