Artist's Description
This is one of the peaks in the Swan Range east of our cabin in the Swan River Valley. Beyond the peak is the Bob Marshall Wilderness Area. It is early fall in the valley and the peaks can experience winter any day of the year as happened yesterday.

Jill, this brings back some great memories. I was born and raised in MT (Libby, Helena, Red Lodge, and Missoula), and used to spend a lot of summers in the Missions. I had my first encounter with an adult grizzly in the Bob Marshall. Beautiful composition and fantastic light. I like the layers in the image. This part of the world is beautiful. Anita Donohoe visited me here recently and inspired me to start taking pictures. I love it here and it has been fun to look for the shots and share them with other photographers. I am having a blast. And sad because I only have a few days left.
