The hay bale shot is one I haven’t gone out of my way to get, i.e. with the right light, the right positioning, the right lines, the right sky, the right sloping field etc.. It is typically a shot I’ve got whilst enroute to some other photographic destination. This time, it was a trip to Port Campbell in Victoria, so whilst this shot is ok, it’s not really the shot i want. Perhaps another road trip into Western Victoria is called for specifically for the hay bale shot.
This was taken near Timboon in Western Victoria, Australia, and is typical of much of the farmland of the region.
Captured with a Canon 5D Mk II, Canon 17-40: at 17mm, f/11 and 1/320 sec. exposure.
