“I think, therefore I am.”, Descartes said.
“I think, therefore I am.”, Descartes said. Well, thinking can be a very useful tool, but is NOT the compass by which I confirm or navigate my existence. Uncritical thinking has run amok in the world of man, and is currently driving the human world into a crisis of epic proportions…“I think, therefore I am a destructive idiot,” Descartes might say if he were still with us today… ;o)
I highly recommend FEELING (physical, sensational feeling) as a functional, life-serving alternative to thought. When out-of-control thinking threatens to screw up my own life, I JUST SIT with whatever situation is troubling me; I tune in instead to FEELING something rather than entertaining the circus of ever-spiralling, self-perpetuating, unhelpful thoughts.
I find effective actions inevitably begin occurring to me, because as sentient, intelligent organisms, we are connected to all things at all times, regardless of what one ‘thinks’ about that…
