Artist's Description

This is the little alpha male fox. The locals call him “Pock” for reasons that are unclear to me. He’s pretty easy to identify as his coat’s a little dull and he has a squinty eye (local rumor has it that he was playing with one of his kits and it accidentally scratched his eye). This seems to give him some difficulty in the cold weather.

As I’ve mentioned previously, he’s a fearless little guy. He doesn’t mind running past me on the same trail, and he uses me for shade on bright mornings. Just a few weeks ago I caught him rooting through my camera bag laying a few feet behind me while setting up my camera.

UPDATE: Now cropped to a square format
