Artist's Description

I don’t know why this guy really reminds me of Jules Bass’ Smrgol from the 1982 ‘Flight of Dragons’, perhaps maybe he should be “Saphire” – Eragon’s blue dragon after all it was his vibrant blues that attracted me to him in the first place.

He certainly could fly and after what seemed like an eternity of trying to convince him the flower was a cool place to chill (special mention to Emily – the worlds most patient and talented Dragon Fly trainer!) I finally managed to real off 15 or so photos before setting him on his way safe and sound.

What do you call an Irish Dragon Fly? Paddy Long Legs…
