Artist's Description

After making a few unplanned stops at the top of the cliffs (and nearly getting jumped on by a kangaroo that wasn’t too happy about being interrupted during its breakfast!), I finally made my way down the boardwalk towards Pulpit Rock. As I got to the bottom, the sun was just starting to peek over the top of the cliffs of Bushrangers Bay.

Rather than heading straight out to Pulpit Rock for my planned shoot, I headed out over the black boulders to the left of the boardwalk to capture this red hot sunrise (coincidentally, there was nothing hot about the freezing cold, wintery, coastal wind that was blowing a gale down there while I captured this series).
