Artist's Description

This shot shows the eastern side of St Pauls Anglican Church, which was designed by Edmund Blacket. It was the second Anglican Church to be built west of the Great Dividing Range, being consecrated in 1849. The tower and steeple were added in 1874/5.

The bell in this Church was originally intended for the Catholic Church just across the street. However, there was a problem with the size of the bell, so a swap was organised.
