MY HANDS ARE SHAKING

My hands are shaking…

I don’t go outside
Because people won’t leave me alone
I am tired and afraid, so I hide
I don’t really want to have to get someone on the phone
I am tired of being a call-girl
That is exactly what they make me feel like
Wouldn’t it be nice to have a respectful relationship, like a pearl
Sleeping in an oyster, instead of the games of psyche
I have a hard time focusing on anything
Because my life has no security
But I have no choice, I have to keep going
And hope to edge the insecurity

Artist's Description

This is about political persecution that is out of control until I am confined for many reasons like a hermit, and afraid to go outside because they won’t leave me alone. This is about undeserved disrespect and the harm it does, and this is about wishing for true love. True love comes with respect.
