I talked to a friend tonight
He was facinating
He rotated my mind and made me think
He quoted the Bible with words that touched my soul
His eyes were mezmerizing, he reminded me of someone I loved

I felt bad today
About things that I have no control over
But have control over me
I smoked three cigarettes
And afterward I felt terribly out of control and yucky
When I leave the bathroom
I always make sure to turn off the light
I actually get mad when people leave the light on…because…
Why?…because in the crazy world we live in people are dying for energy
I don’t know, that is what I think when I see the light on in the bathroom
And there is more but I am so tired it is hard to put into words
Leaving a room in constant illumination where we perform our most basic functions
Is cruel…the light needs to be turned off when we leave, or even when we are in there sometimes…

I love God and I feel in my heart that God loves me
God is Love, my friend reminded me of that tonight
God loves his children, God loves my children
Thank you God for loving and protecting the people that I love
I’m sad because I can’t protect them like I used to
And that makes me extremely sad, weak, and vulnerable on the inside
What is there that I can give them?
My brothers and sisters constantly devalue and undermine me
They make me unable to give to those I love
To cherish them and to give to them from the fruits of my life
I am being stagnated, becoming stale, frozen, unable to live, and not because this is
My choice
But because this is my sentence…

Artist's Description

This is about relationships, attraction and wrong and right. It is also about violated privacy, control of one’s life, and health problems. It speaks to the craziness of war, and the true underlying motivations for war. It speaks about the human need to protect and give to those you love, especially your children. It talks about being undermined, and kept powerless so that you can’t do this – give to your children. And how this makes you become frozen and stale, like a bird in jail.
