OF MICE AND MEN

Of mice and men…

I have put my wife on ice
It was no accident, no throw of the dice
It was very calculated and very bold
Right in front of her blind eyes
It was very very very cold…

Now she is the one that thinks twice
About her lost gold
Two beautiful children she cannot hold
Two beautiful children she wanted to mold
I am lower than lice, and not very nice

We are supposed to grow wiser as we get old
To protect those we love, to take them into the fold
But instead my need to treat her as nothing, my vice
Has caused her to be rolled and sold
To men and mice…

And the mice are not very nice
Some of them are not really mice, but rats…
