On a trip to New York City Diane arranged to meet with an old friend of hers, While they talked about a variety of things, including Estha’s poetry, I sat back and made this sketch. When it was done I closed my Canson sketchbook and put it away. As we all got up to go Estha asked if she could see what I’d been drawing and I replied; “Oh no, it didn’t turn out as I’d hoped.” We smiled and went our respective ways. Later when I showed Diane the drawing she comment how kind I’d been, that it was a good capture but Estha wouldn’t have liked it at all. lol. Now, many years later I doubt she’ll ever see it, but if she does enough years have passed that this older sketch maybe okay for an older Estha. Mabey she could write a poem about it !
