Maybe this is Lake Louise chance to get a lake ghost of their own! I watched in amazement as this misty, snow thingy (ok…spirit :) appeared to come snaking down the ‘plain of the six glaciers trail’ at the end of the lake and then float along the frozen lake and then ‘poof’ disappear as magically as it appeared. I have no idea what this type of phenom is called…maybe some type of wind vortex going on with the way the mountains come together at the end of the lake and picked up some of the lighter snow particles and floated them over Lake Louise?
Anyways, it was a neat to see and no one gave it much attention as it looked like I was the only one taking pictures of it….maybe they all seen it before and it is a common occurrence here…not sure…but, cool to see! Lake Louise, Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada
Hopefully you can see it…look for the thin band of snow starting near the ‘V’ where the ‘plain of the six glaciers trail’ starts and snakes along from left to right.
