For an instant when I was an infant, you held me.
Then very quickly, you sent me free.

Back into my mothers arms, awe… right where I belong.
The one who sings to me she will never set me free.

One day I’ll be on my own, but my mothers love never unknown.
She will never cast that stone.

Why did you even come here, to get a good look at me?
It’s hard to believe you even cared to see.

My mother is just too sweet, like a honeybee.
Wishing, you would want to see me.

Instead of looking at me, you studied her down to the “T”.
She is the one you need to set free.

You don’t care about her, back home you have a wife.
Why can’t you see your cutting us all with your knife?

My mother confused for you.
For goodness sakes, you made me too.

I bet you don’t even care, we almost met our doom.
My mother and I laying there bare on the operating table.

While your back home maybe watching cable.
You tell me, who’s the one that’s not stable.

We are not the ones that need to get a life
You’re the one back home with a wife.

Yes, I know my mother is married too,
and he will be the one I call dad not you.

Artist's Description

Life is by no means easy…
one day at a time we learn
who we are and what
people think of us really
does not matter, because
they are on the same journey
as we are, trying to figure out
who they are and what there
purpose on this earth. One thing
is for sure to be hurt by another
soul that you loved so much….
is like being cut with a knife.
