The Road to Tora Bora

I headed out to Tora Bora
to film where Osama Bin Laden’s last stand was
an epic journey through the mountains of Nangahar province
with the blessing of the Governor
and 9 of his best men and great commander
followed by another 9 men in the next region
AK47s, RPGs and Rail guns to help get us through Al Qaeda territory

Our journey could of end soon as the RPG soldier slipped
and his rockets fell against the rocks by my feet.
My heart skipped a beat but everything was okay.

The caves were a media farce.
They weren’t a network of a huge base underground,
just dirt caves
hundreds of them scattered amongst the mountains
men huddled in them as daisy cutter bomb blasted the rocks apart
Osama’s house was nothing but a crater and his compounds where destroyed to nothingness.
the villagers reclaim the land and peace once more takes hold of the land
but they still managed to escaped the armies and into the tribal areas of Waziristan.
