Only Me and Me Alone

A spirit alone among masses unlimited
Surrounded yet deserted by humanity’s own
A voice small and silent among ear piercing bustle
Who is she, this majestic beauty?
She is me, she is you, she is the ignored, the unheard
Of the trees, the solemn bird
That single voice fading into the mists
The voice of powers beyond comprehension
Unlocked, unsheathed by fellows not
Forever in secret lay her thoughts
Do you know her? Do I?
Only if she chose and she obliged,
Only then could we know her
Assuming…assuming that she knows herself!
If that which remains un-experienced remains undesired,
Do those unmet and unloved meet not and love not?
Yet she, this mystic siren of the lake,
This hidden faerie midst our wake,
This damsel of the dragon lords—
Her heart is pure and spirit true
Forever Virgin her loving hue!
