From the age of about 4, I knew that I always wanted to be drawing and creating. And I have been doing that since I first picked up a pencil. I grew up in Africa – the most amazing place to spend a childhood.

I have lived in several different and amazing places in the world but always seem to end up back in Africa. My first children’s book. “A Hong Kong ABC”, was written and illustrated in that fascinating city. My second book, “An African ABC” was created back home in Africa.

Textiles and pattern have always fascinated me, and although I am a graphic designer by profession, I find myself more and more drawn to this area of expression.

I work in a combination of ways: sometimes I draw and paint, other times I draw scan and colour digitally and I also work by digitally manipulating my own images.

...and 48 hours later!

I discovered Redbubble quite by chance a couple of days ago. An artist friend, Aimee Stewart (who I have yet to meet but will in Spain next year) sells her work on the site. Following a link from her website, I discovered the big red bubble! My excitement was palpable… You must understand that I live in a very small landlocked country in Africa: a place renown for it’s beauty and wond…
