Explaining a Microwave to Robert Burns

Come forth sweet Robert and see this box
make sure you do not tarry.
I’ll show you how to make a feast
to tempt your bonny Mary.
It needs no sticks to light a fire
tis powered by electric
that sends down tiny microwaves
through fields that are magnetic.
Its tentacles attach to walls,
a switch sends power to it.
So put yon haggis on a dish
and watch the light shine through it.
A bell wil ring when cooking ends
in this new fangled thing,
And we will feast upon a meal
T’will make your poor heart sing.
So pour yourself a ruby drink
in a silver tassie
And drink a toast to Mary
who is thy bonny lassie.
