Morning Kiss

Please don’t pert your lips in the morning
like you want to kiss me
Please don’t make me think about how bad
your breath stinks
like opening an aged coffin
your babies breath is that of the plague
I think I see roaches, maggots, rats
and black dots on the eyes of your teeth
like a beggar asking for change I only smile
and walk by
barely acknowledging he is alive.
Eat an onion for breakfast
and I may acquiesce
but please block that cave
with the mornings stone
before I fall out of love with you
