Sorry about the lame title, but really, all of these old doodles are untitled. This is another from the ‘Wallis Vault’, mid-nineteen-nineties. Which now means they are really really old.
See, many many years ago, in between band rehearsals, marathon painting sessions, writing (still-unpublished) novels, and banging down lots and lots of bongs, I worked as a telephone survey guy at The Wallis Group in the city. My girlfriend and I’d rock up at work, extremely bent, and survey the masses about banks and movies and politics for HOURS – and while doing so, we’d draw, with cheap-arsed biros and a pouch filled with Derwents. Over the years, we accumulated a massive collection of doodles. This is one of them. Not all of them made it to the Derwent stage, or were even finished. Like this guy. But I really like his shapes.
They were all drawn on the backs of THESE puppies:
There are about 50 others. Enjoy!

Delightful! A lot of my art is on notebook paper, etc, too.
yeah – creativity doesn’t only strike when you happen to be surrounded by top quality art gear!
It’s the most restrictive of environments that usually spawn greatness…..and this ROCKS!!!
yeah – and being FORCED to doodle for 7 hours or so… well, hasn’t happened before or since. current job, i can’t doodle… and so this period of creativty is lost forever. EXCEPT – the pics still exist, so i’m slowly uploading them to RB.
But exist in you greatness……much awesomeness to share such treasures.
Cute little fellow!
