Green is the symbolic color of success. In it’s presence, one might feel as if being given the green light to be successful. Note the richness of the green emerald, or the color of the American dollar. Green denotes prosperity and fertility, not to mention good luck such as the luck of the Irish.
Many countries such as South Africa, Guinea, Zimbabwe, Senegal, Libya, Ireland, India,, Wales, Hungary, Brazil, to name a few, have the color green on their flag to denote the lushness of their land. Green is the color that symbolizes the promotion of social justice and environmental concern.
It is the traditional color of Islam. The Irish and the Scots use green to symbolize Catholics, who along with Protestants, use green as a traditional vestment color in ordinary services. Green is also said to promote creative intelligence. Metaphysically, the 4th chakra, also known as the heart chakra, is represented as green. It is also said that those whose auras are predominantly green have natural tendencies to the healing arts and a love of natural things.
The tree is a common symbol of long life, strength, beauty, mystery, and magic.
So, could it be that surrounding ones-self with the symbolism of what one is, or desires, could perpetuate and attract those exact qualities?
