Artist's Description

The colour of this poppy’s flowers can vary from yellow to orange. While they are often seen in gardens they are actually native to the British Isles.

Poppies are not particularly common on the island and are usually isolated rather than forming large patches.

The Manx name for this flower is “Lus-chroym Vretnagh”.
