These blue flowers can be found in woods and shady places between May and June. They are one of several forget-me-not species found on the island.

Like other forget-me-nots, they are often used as a symbol of remembrance.

The Manx name “Lus-veiygh cheylley” literally means “gentle woodland plant”.
