Artist's Description

Grows in grassy places everywhere. Four-leaved clovers are considered lucky, and were said to allow the bearer to see fairies.

Clover leaves and flowers are edible and high in protein and have been eaten by humans for centuries. Clover is also a nitrogen fixer and a common pasture plant.

In Manx, this flower is called “Shamrag vane”, which means “white shamrock”.
