Artist's Description

Scarlett point and Langness are the only places on the island where you are likely to find this flower, which is rarely seen further north than France. Purple milk vetch gets its name from the belief that it would increase the yield of milk if eaten by cattle.

The Manx name for this flower is Pishyr-vliught ghorrym-jiarg.
