Artist's Description

Sometimes called “snow bells”, these flowers look quite similar to white bluebells. Unlike bluebells, they have a strong garlicky scent and a triangular stem.

Three-cornered leek is edible and very common on the island, where it is considered to be invasive. It is particularly abundant in the south-west of the island.

Three cornered leek grows in the same kind of conditions as bluebells, and the two flowers can often be found growing together.
