Artist's Description

This is one of several three-leafed plants that are known as “shamrock”. It grows in wooded areas.

The leaves of this plant are edible, but it is not recommended to eat them in large quantities as they contain oxalic acid.

The Manx name for wood sorrel is “Bee cooag”.
