Artist's Description

This variety of daffodil may be native to the island, and was first recorded in England in the 17th century.

Van Sion daffodils have a ‘double’ trumpet, and often have a complete array of additional petals, making them very distinct from more common varieties.

The name “lus y ghuiy Vanninagh” roughly translates to “Manx goose plant”.
