Artist's Description

These flowers look quite similar to white bluebells, but unlike bluebells they have a strong garlicky scent. It gets its name from the triangular shape of the flower stalks.

Three cornered leek grows in the same kind of conditions as bluebells, and the two flowers can often be found growing together.

The Manx name for this flower is “Craue trooraneagh”, which means “triangular garlic”.
