buy me some floaties and teach me to float

I know you’re still here
But I’m begging don’t go
Please stay here beside me
And teach me to grow

Just build me a castle
And dig me mote
But buy some floaties
And teach me to float

And when you see monsters
Don’t tell me they’re there
Just hand me my armor
And say me a prayer

And tell me I’ll travel
Not only in cars
But also to moons
And to suns and to stars

Hold my hand tightly
But then when I plead
Just squeeze a bit looser
Let me take the lead

And when I say no
Just know I mean yes
And say when I fail
I’ll still be a success

And someday I’ll show you
What all I have learned
I’ll tell you my journeys
And show what I’ve earned

I’ll show you the dragons
I’ve tied in a knot
And buy you a castle
With all that I’ve got

But then when I’m grown
I’ll still need to know
My dad’s here beside me
So please don’t let go

buy me some floaties and teach me to float
