About Him - Adventure and lost

He had always been in an adventurous mood, not that he is adventurous, but because of his ignorant and naivety. He is blind to the world around him. He grew up with a blinker; perhaps it was his meditative fervent in the things he truly love at that particular moment of his life and was oblivious to his surrounding, or perhaps, when one grew up on a small island and a limited geography, he develop tunnel vision, a vision that only understood meditative concentration. Everything seems to be adventurously new. This smallness was exacerbated by the compactness of pigeon-holed apartment blocks he resided, which were replicated in quick succession to provide home for the people, of course, at an affordable price. Every home looked and felt the same, rooms enclosed by reinforced concrete columns and walls, 2.3 metre floor to ceiling height, they were space of boxes suspended above the ground. Through the window, he saw only that small rectangular portion of the sky; he had forgotten the vastness of the sky and beyond, the Milky Way. He had his happy childhood in the landscape of Pac-Man mapped vertically onto this apartment, he remembered running ‘quack quack’ with his neighbours and siblings, it was all fun. Children can derive funs out of the simplest things; they have imaginations. He grew up knowing only this little world. You are what the environment makes you. Caged and happy.

He was naturally fearful of the establishment, and the people that made up the establishment, when they commanded him and ordered him to do as they wished his life would be or should become. He always submitted to them. This submission always put him in strange land and new terrain, however, though he was always lost in the beginning, he slowly work his cerebrum to make some pattern that he would understand. Almost like an empirical scientist, he always had his own way of seeing and believing in what he saw, these images imprinted deeply and made permanent marks in his web of made-believe. Through all these coerced upbringing, he developed a sense of confidant even when he was utterly lost, deluded, and without a clue. He would stare at this lost and strangeness until alien pattern and structure fell into place and slowly but surely he would see a story, a kind of friendliness and truthfulness in them, and soon they becomes part of him. Then he would once again become a non-stranger, a humble inhabitant of this new landscape, and he was comfortable with this strange vastness within his limited vision.
