Artist's Description

The West Pier at Brighton England had it’s walk way and fist section demolished when a large tanker collided with it yards off the beach over twenty years ago. Technically it was a collision between two ships as the pier is classed as a ship with navigation lights & a Captain in charge.
After years of insurance wrangling & much dilapidation there were
a couple of fires, the last one was a big one, this caused nearly all the Victorian pier to end up in the sea putting pay to any chance of restoration.
It is now classed as a historic ship wreck & so can’t be removed.
I now put my slant on things!
