Artist's Description

Crabbing along the coasts of South Australia is somewhat of a tradition in our state. At high tide, crabbers can be seen tossing out and hauling in their nets with hope; and at low tide, rakers can be seen walking slowly knee high seeking out crabs that have burrowed in the sand.

This photos shows netting for blue swimmer crabs on the end of the Ardrossan jetty, on the Yorke Peninsula, South Australia, in the Gulf St Vincent. Reflecting on nature on the last day of autumn, 2013 (30 November)
