Artist's Description

He opened his soul to her as he had never done in life; abandoned all his masks and unfolded to her all his thoughts, all his fears. With her, he felt vulnerable and nevertheless secure.

Bearing one’s soul is not easy. It makes you feel completely naked and vulnerable, but there’s freedom in it, too.

Digital artwork (mixed media: ink drawing on paper, digital drawing, photomanipulation)

Dimensions:100cm x 70cm (39.3×27.5inches)

Sketch based on a photo (self-portrait) by Paul D. Robertson

Inspired by a verse by Paul Lobo Portugés:

Naked’s not
enough she
wanted a God
window to my soul
the proud language
of my secret poems

I would like to thank Paul and Paul for letting me use and adapt their amazing work.
