A running project I recently started is based on Iconography. My very first article was about how the rabbit and hare are used in numerous cultures as a symbols of fertility. This illustration was based on that article.
The main inspirations is from the ancient legend of the moon-gazing hare, the traditon of Ostara (Easter) and the two Aztec rabbit gods Ometotchtli and the 400 Aztec rabbit gods Centzontotochtin
