Artist's Description

Pluto hasn’t been the ninth planet of the solar system since 2006. Deal with it! Why? A Planet is defined as a rounded object in stable orbit around a star with enough gravitational force to clear its neighbouring region of similar objects. Compared to planets Pluto’s orbit is very eccentric, its distance from the sun varying by about 25%. Its diameter of 2374km is much smaller than the largest moons found in our solar system. Also, there have been found many objects similar to Pluto in the outer regions. Gas giants like Neptune force them into stable orbits they wouldn’t have otherwise.
We all like Pluto, but as long as humanity doesn’t fight bullying among itself as seriously as this debate has been fought among astrophiles, we should stop empathizing with a cosmically small piece of dirty ice. #stopbullying
