Artist's Description

What a wedding! and the effort we had to go through to get there by car. Knee deep water over the roads and nearly got stuck. Poring down with rain and heavy winds, dark dark skies. But when we finally got there after a 5 and a half hours drive (450 km only) the skies cleared up and the sun appeared, out of the blue. As if it had been waiting for us to have a fantastic setting for the wedding.
We climbed to the top of Kings Canyon to have some great scenery shots. Luckily the bride and groom were ultra fit. Back within the hour and 15 minutes , just in time for the ceremony.

At the end of the shoot / ceremony the wind almost blew the cake off the table. Me and my assistant Jenn had to protect our cameras from the dust storm and the wedding coordinator managed to save the cake. Walking back to the reception of the hotel it started raining so heavily that we had to do the last 200 m by car. How incredible that we had a clear sunny sky throughout the whole ceremony and shoot!

The photos are so incredibly great with the moody dark skies, I couldn’t have hoped for more!
