Fighting Maturity

Overshadowed by the broken arm of love
The lost sons of Babylon
Chase the scent of the living one
While Pandora’s sisters set themselves up
Unable to find more than enough
Strange fruit still bleeding from the tree
But don’t panic, keep the fight against maturity

The crooked road without improvement is the better life
A man of health is not a man of wealth
Be wary of he who has luxury to write
Happy are the comfortable for they will not weep
Fat weathermen predicting envy, toiling through their sleep
The unrequited man has immigrated willfully
But don’t panic, keep the fight against maturity

Landlords take what they can’t afford
Stalkers caught with a fork in the road
While gauging depth I’ve lacked
Itchy feet are ill directed, defiled dogs rolling stones
Turning back, I’m overtaken
By honest fishermen chasing the limits of the sea
But don’t panic, keep the fight against maturity

The wise man has not grown up
The thirsty will not take the cup
New borns play in the pit of Babylon
Aged statues have overtaken the lawn
Come all ye faithful, faithful in your useless actions
I see you investing emotions
Do you love me? Do you know what that means?
Don’t panic, keep the fight against maturity

Jonathan gave me all he had and then I gave him my word
Not to speak of help by virtue of the absurd
For in the time of cholera love decides
Who will suffer and who must die
The seduction of indifference seasons bitter words
And now I fail to see the benefit of fiscal security
But don’t panic, keep the fight against maturity
