Walls of Pride

Surrounding crowded alleys, head weak but still strong
Ordering hung up style, lessons learnt but still wrong
You are right from your side and they are right from theirs
But each time I remember I see nobody even cares

Battle lines drawn from a tear in the middle
Regret and shame cutting posession by little
Mathematicians keeping it real
Audience talking through heads, waiting to deal
Climate change and incidents recalled
Disrupting the wind and the silence of the fall
Situations taken for granted selecting next of kin
Outcasts gazing the wedding bell’s ring

Tent houses echo caravans of misuse
Help screamed in forms of past abuse
My eyes turned red when you blew off my head
Gardening in bed I forget what you said
White house and ballot box decomposed
Clowns and janitors see what nobody knows
You must return whatever smiles they throw
Final pass of the hat to the black rose

Surrounding crowded alleys, head weak but still strong
Ordering hung up style, lessons learnt but still wrong
You are right from your side and they are right from theirs
But each time I remember I see nobody even cares
