Poem To Persephone

Oh, maiden fairest
Of the sweet spring
Keep your hope
In sight
If only for a moment

I tread through the green
In the night
My bare feet mingle with the grass
Covered in the moon light

Queen of the sweet hyacinth
Your wait is coming to an end

I come upon the River Styx
The reflection mirrors my demise

I walk into it’s welcoming waters
The darkness wraps itself around me

As I sink into it’s endless depth
I see a flower blossom on the shore

Persephone, may Hades set you free!
