Description – Just enjoy this image as is. You really don’t have to know the story to accept the colours and proportions, and this is about colours and proportions after all. But if you demand the story, prepare for something sad.

There was a Kindergarten coloured bright deep blue with some nonsensical green ornaments here and there, built in the late 70s in the middle of a housing estate for 30,000 inhabitants. This kindergarten was huge, for 600 children or so, and it was named after its colour. This was the Blue Kindergarten. Nomen est omen we could say, because as the inhabitants aged, the children were less and less, and there was no use for this big kindergarten but costed a lot. It was sold, and the new owner did… nothing. Not even the basic maintenance. After several years the empty building were taken over by the vegetation of its park, then homeless and junkie people hid there away, and their arguing and shouting filled the nights of nearby prefabricated houses (some of them accomodated over 800 people). After some decade or so, the municipality took the building back but that was already crumbling into ruins. They started to demolish it when I got in, to take this shot in the former entrance hall and stairways. But you hardly recognize these elements. Perhaps the demolition truck on the right pane… the wheels of that…
This is the story, as you demanded. It is not a happy one, but the life goes on, and the colours of springtime foliage and golden sunshine fills the dark cavernous spaces, first just a bit, later completely as the walls will fall. This how the Time stamps the end.

This image is also available on DeviantArt as a part of a series of six images of the Blue Kindergarten.
